I am ridiculously excited to announce my first book, Forever on our Mind: My Love Letter to Oregon.

Many Oregon-based books and articles tell readers where to go, how to get there, and what to do once you get there. But few titles describe what it’s actually like to be there. Almost no one bothers to convey the anticipation that builds with every twist and turn on the road to Crater Lake, what it’s like to attend Fort George Brewery’s Festival of Dark Arts, or the taste of champagne when the Portland Timbers win their first MLS Cup.

That’s where I come in.

Forever on our Mind will be a self-published collection of more than 50 essays dedicated to the Beaver State. The book reflects my love for the beer, bookstores, nature, beaches, and other slices of life that make Oregon such a fascinating place to live, work, and play. It’s not a literary Yelp review of major attractions; rather, the book dives into the experience of truly appreciating, enjoying, and experiencing Oregon. It delivers a mix of personal essays, historical anecdotes, slice-of-life glimpses, and generous doses of wonder through the prism of Oregon’s innumerable offerings.

Told with a sincere love for all things Oregon (even Seaside!), I hope the book inspires you to look at the state a little differently and come away with a new understanding of what makes it so special. There’s a lot to love, and I look forward to sharing those stories in Forever on our Mind.

I’ll also keep this site up-to-date with ordering information, giveaways and promotions, and future readings and events throughout the state. I’ve spent a lot of time exploring Oregon over the past few years, and I’m excited for you to join me on this journey.
